New semester, new class

So i have a new class and a new theme this semester! Last semester my theme was "Photography", but now it is "The human being". This will probably be very interesting and i am looking forward to get started!

The main elements we are gonna study are:

The human being's origin and evolution
The anatomy and function of the human body
Fundamental human needs and group dynamics
Ethology (includes a trip to the biggest zoo amongst the Nordic countries to study apes)
Health perspectives
Genetics and genetic engineering

It's been a long december

Right so... it has been a long and nice holiday. Spent it at mother's place in Söderhamn together with her, little brother Jesper and big brother Christoffer plus his girlfriend. We all absolutely LOVE christmas and we had some nice couple of days together. Also spent some time at granny's place and looked after Sigbritt, our family's dog, for a couple of days. After New Years Eve, i traveled together with Christoffer and Annika to Skövde to spend a couple of days there with them, before going home to Linköping to start school again. Had a total slack time with PC games and some Call of Chtulhu rpging.

Finally went home, looking forward to start school again, on January 11th.

Packing my things to go home over the holidays. This semester ends tomorrow and after school, i will take the train to Söderhamn. I bet 100 SEK that the train will be late. So typical. :)

My little personal exhibition of photos has been up for a week, and yesterday i had two paintings in the painting class exhibition. One painting will be a Christmas gift for my big brother and his gf. The photos will be taken down tomorrow before i leave. will see if i can bring it with me to show a few of the pictures at home. I also have to remember to empty my mac computer and save all photos i have taken! It has been a fun semester indeed :)

Been a couple of hectic and very stressful days lately with loads of school work due to the end of this semester closing in. Exams, two exhibitions (one is the group project we've done, and one is a solo exhibition), ordinary schoolwork, and more that has to be done. People have been sick or just absent in my group as well, so we are way behind schedule :( Even i am sick at the moment with a dry cough. I am sipping hot milk with honey every morning when i get up, every day when i get home from school and every night before i bed. Good thing it doesn't only make your throat feel a bit better, it is kinda yummy too :3

Today I got some goodies in my pigeon hole :D I had ordered a poster online some week ago, and it arrived today. Sent all the way from Moldova :)

Hooray! Been home this weekend cos my mom got married! Was a really nice celebration. Intimate and warm. Congrats Billy and mom!
I put up a few of all the pictures i took on my creative page. I am home in Linköping again, going through the pictures to see what to use for the slideshow i will create in class. :)

Fika tournament

Went to café Myran this evening to be social with the people there and see what people would challenge Kristofer who was the one who won the Fika tournament the past two years. Last year he was there fikaing non stop for over 40 hours or something. Crazy stuff. i am not even gonna compete cos i feel old and i get tired and wanna bed at 10pm. But i was there for a few hours, playing games and eating goodies like sandwiches and pie and cookies.

Anniversary and trip to Söderhamn

Today school celebrated its 50th anniversary. Had some performances and tenderloin for lunch, and cake after. I had to skip the cake though cos I had to catch the train to Söderhamn! First weekend going home after i moved here. Mom will be in Sthlm over the weekend, so i will be at her place alone, looking after her cats and Bitchen who is staying there whilst i live in Linköping. I miss Bitchen :(

Billy is coming to Sweden this weekend, that is why mom is away to pick him up etc. I will go home on Sunday but i have already booked tickets to come back here in two weeks. That's when they are getting married. :)

Norrköping

Today we've been to Norrköping on a field trip to take some pictures! We also went to a museum to see a big collection of black and white photographs. Was nice to see a new town. Took a couple of pictures around the industry landscape and downtown. Got a few pictures on my creative page.

Today the school had arranged an open air activity day. We had a football ("soccer") tournament and a kubb tournament. This was going on the whole day and afterwards there was a big taco buffet for all classes with music and quiz entertainment.

Classmates and Roomies

So. I have been living here for some time now. Gotten to know my roomies and my class mates a bit better. They are all nice :)

I live at Ormbunken together with 9 other people. We have our own rooms and bathrooms, but share kitchen/TV room. In total we are 3 boys and 7 girls staying here. 5 of them study on the global program, so they will leave us after Christmas to spend almost three months abroad. Some will go to Cuba and some to Tanzania/Kenya. I am having Spanish classes together with the Cuba students :D

This is a picture of my house(the fern). My room is the window to the left of the left side door.

One of the girls here is my class mate. She is from Bollnäs which is super close to my hometown Söderhamn. Sometimes the world is super small. One of the guys is from Sandviken, not too far away that either.

All my classmates are nice. We are about 16 students studying Photo. We had a fun class party at Nima's place some week ago. We had superfun.

Using mom's miniPC to blog a little. I have now moved into my small 14 square meter room. Unpacked almost everything. Everything is pretty scary with the other people also living here, but i guess it will feel better in a few days time.

What my room looked like when i got here:

The room is a bit shabby. Old scrub furniture and all that. My toilet is also leaking water when i flush. Also, I wanted to change curtains to make it a bit more homey, but i couldn't cos they were screwed onto the wall and i couldn't take them down.
Tomorrow for breakfast i will try team up with others from this house (i share with 9 others) and see what kind of people they are. At 13.00 tomorrow, i will meet my new photography class :D

Weekend

Worked like an animal saturday-thursday to get everything out of my apartment and finishing cleaning before the inspection before i leave for Linköping. The inspection of the apartment took maybe 10 minutes and there was nothing the guy wasn't happy with. I handed over the keys and went home to moms to relax after all those hectic stressful days.

That thursday night i packed my bags, and the morning after i took the bus and the train to Linköping. Met up with sofie and thomas at the train station and they helped me carry all my bags. Went to their apartment and spent the night in their sofa.

Next day was javascript:void(0)spent playing Götterdämmerung and drinking alcohol with sofie, thomas, jonas and sofia. After that we all walked to Ryd from Lambohov to get to Café Myran. We had a welcome party for me and had some nice drinks and 7 hour long Trivial pursuit session.

Today sunday i will move into my new place :D Boarding school here i come!

Have had Sofie over and she helped me start moving all my heavy boxes to the storage room i am renting. 15 square meters big, which is about twice what i need but space is always good, right? Anyhow, we have been good girls today :) We will continue tomorrow.

Listening a bit to The Killers and enjoying some really good dinner. Planning to start packign most of my things after the weekend. Thomas and Sofie are coming over a little bit later, and we're gonna have a nice time on my balcony with some liquor and then head downtown for the club to see what is happening this friday night.

Also went to a second hand store a couple of days ago and bought two old books. Neato :)

I like the one to the left, and hope to find books from the same series in the future as well.

New running shoes

Drog till Valbo köpcenter idag och besökte löplabbet. Helt klart värt resan dit! Fick mina fötter inspekterade och sedan filmades dem när jag sprang på löpband i ett par neutrala skor. Det var ju lätt att se sedan på replay att jag överpronerar (vilket jag redan funderat ut), och den vänliga kvinnan som hjälpte mig hittade perfekta skor på en gång. Fick provspringa igen och nu liknade det mera en rät linje. Köpte ett par Saucony ProGrid Omni 8 för 1400 kronor. Jag rekommenderar Löplabbet till folk som letar skor till löpning eller walking.

Went to Valbo shopping mall today and visited Löplabbet. Totally worth the trip. They took a look on my feet, put me into some "neutral" shoes and let me walk and run on their threadmill. While i did so, they recorded it and after some minute the pressed on replay to analyze my technique. They went to get a pair of sheos they thought would fit me, and amazingly enough they did. I ran again and this time when we pressed replay, i was runnign much better with my feet. So i bought a pair of Saucony ProGrid Omni 8 for 1400 SEK. I reccomend Löplabbet for people who want to try out new walking/running shoes.

Today i drove the sofa+armchairs and some mattresses to the recycling area. My apartment feels atleast three times bigegr with all this furniture gone. I used to use an armchair when sitting at my comptuer and since it is gone now, i use the sofa table to sit on. Yeah, very unconfortable. :(

Took a trip to Trönö yesterday and went thru some more stuff that was mine. Threw away a whole lot of crap, but saved some toys in a big box that i will give away to the asylum seeking kids living on my yard. Got a couple of dolls, games, puzzles, books, etc. My dad gave me 10k SEK, so i will try get a trip down to Valbo in some day, and buy shoes and other things i can find useful.

This evening the dog i have been lookign after for a week has been picked up. As a thank you i got Beyoncés perfume Heat. I think i have been waiting for it to come to sweden since may :P Awesome.

When my dad moved to Karlskrona, some ten years ago or so, he decided to rent the house out. Now he has sold the house to the family who was renting it, and that means we had to go there and get all our old things out of there. I was there yesterday sorting out some of the thigns that were mien and my older brother's. I was a bit surprised and relieved that i didn't have as much things i could have. Most of the things i brought with me to moms place when dad and mom got divorced. The things i found that was mine, i decided to either take with me home or store at my grandparents old barn.
I also saved an old photograph from moms and dads wedding. I wasn't born when they got married but my big bro is on this picture.

Today mom and i went to second hand and looked for books from the 30's-60's. We found none and went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make a cake instead. Little bro Jesper liked it too.

True blood already started this season, and tomorrow we can also see the season premier of Mad Men! After that, all shows i follow will start rolling on nicely :D This fall i will enjoy these:

Yesterday my mom took me out for dinner at our favorite pizzeria. I had a Hawaii salad. It has crab, shrimps, yummy vegetables etc in it. Today when i woke up i did not feel very well.
Had a very upset stomach and it was coming out both ways.. nice :( And what a perfect timing this is. I need to do some packing and sort out some papers. I guess i will just take it easy and rest all day. Maybe do some easy cleaning and packing only. It is nice to throw away stuff you don't need. Kind of limiting the total sum of things you owe.

Got in a good mood when i came home and had mail saying i was approved for student aid this fall. So nice that it is approved! And since i will become a student again, i don't have to pay back on the loaned money i got some year back for studies. So good that can wait. It has been almost impossible to pay all bills plus paying back on the loan, whilst living on minimum living wage.

Church hunting

Spent yesterday with some sightseeing around the area together with mom, trying to find a suitable church for my mom's wedding. The church we originally wanted is closed from fall to spring, and since the wedding would be in October we had to find a second option. Today we went to Söderala to have a look at the church. Unfortunately we couldn't look inside cos it was locked, but the church is cute from the outside.

So got a few meetings and stuff today to attend to. Got an interview at 14.00. hope it will go well. Already got no from Bokia and the tourist information centre. They either have too many ppl, or want me to speak fluent german. GG. Don't have an answer from the integration and migration unit in my municipality yet. The woman I have contact with is away until tomorrow morning. Checking with the local newspaper as well, but guess they are too many there as well.

Tonight we dont have any raid though which feels nice. We were going to test Auriaya yesterday on PTR but it got cancelled by Blizzard coz they were unprepared I suppose. This gave us a chance to quick clear all content this reset on live servers though, so hopefully i get time to sleep either this evening or tomorrow morning. We will have bosses up for testing on european PTR at friday, saturday, sunday, monday, tuesday and wednesday. Three of which we havent met before, so I guess we're gonna attend atleast three nights. Flame Leviathan is already down by my guild Crypt, but it might be fun to test it less buggy?(lol)
Freya and Thorim could deserve more tries from us imo. Blizzard just tend to make it hard for us to logon to the PTR realm, and then when we're finally able to go with all people on spot, they soon close instance down again (great..)

Vacation

Starting last Monday, I've been on my feet for a week now. Starting off going to Åland with Birka Paradise, where we ate good food, relaxed, bought stuff in the taxfree shop, and partied a little. We were back in Sweden on tuesday the day after, and I stayed in Stockholm for a few hours before catching the train to Linköping.

Sofie met me at the trainstation, and we hurried to go to her place to dump my things, so we could go with Linus and Thomas to get a few beers at HG, a student club in Ryd. When they closed, we went to an illegal pub called Skrubben, secretly located somewhere in Ryd. Awesome night, and Securitas came only once to tell us to be quiet or leave.

We spent wednesday at the big mall not too far away. Bought some things we needed for the halloween party on Saturday, then head back home to slack some.

We were going to Skrubben at an oktoberfest themed party on thursday. Home brewed beer for 20SEK/litre, but Sofie and i stayed away frm that and drank other things instead. I think it was about 15-20 guys on every 3rd girl there. (the three girls being me, Sofie and Sofia). Of course there was more girls there, but they left early. Securitas came two or three times this night.

Saturday came, and we spent the time with friends here at Sofie's place, drinking and playing some games before we left to the big halloween party at Kårallen. Extremely nice night, despite the retarded guys I always get running after me. Sigh. I lost the card I got to get my jacket out from the wardrobe, but got my jacket later when most ppl had taken theirs and i could point mine out.

So my big brother has gotten this morrocoan rug thingy that you put on the wall so it looks all nice and stuff. Although he has only had it up on his wall once or so, and didn't even bring it with him when he moved away 6 years ago, it's still his and i am just "borrowing" it xD dunno if he knows about it though.
Nevertheless, it suits my room so here it is, on my red wall.

The rug was a gift to my grandmother from her brother who was a sailor. When he was 18 years old, he brought this big thing back from Morocco. :)

First of all, we bought a 3rd cat! His name is Kuhli, and he's an oriental longhair (Angora).

Another thing that's gonna happen very soon is my escaping from home. I got an apartment. Small one but still my own. 42 square meter and a balcony for Bitchen to go out on. I will get new wallpapers and stuff, so i'm not moving quite yet. hopefully it's done til the first of june tho!

And lastly, I am going to Sweden Rock Festival in about 2 weeks. Will be so neat! I have the bestest big brother who brings me with him!

Yes. So I woke up and suddenly found myself to be the main wittness of a theft that happend last night when i was here, using the computers. Some dumb french guys stole a camera from one of the guests at the wedding. They were also drinking beer from the weddingparty. Anyway. I got interviewed by the police and then i had to identify the two french blokes. And indeed they were the ones who had taken the camera. I rock. Woahahaha.

I FINALLY got my money today... thanks to a nice lady at the bank of scotland in Lairg.
The check was not supposed to be cleared until thursday, but yeah. i've got over £750 in my handbag now.

I am on my way to the pub. It's friday and i've got loads of money. can it get better? NO WAY!

Cheers to our lambmeat pieces from Sthlm, who, sadly enough, waited patiently for us to get the money so we could pay for one night out. Too bad they are flying home this very minute, and therefore they are missing out a lot of the fun at the live music evening at the Invershin tonight.

I guess we will have to make up for it in sthlm very soon :D

I am flying out myself on friday and i've only got 3 workdays left. We're going shopping, clubbing and other stuff the rest of the week and weeeeeeeeeeee I am so happy to go home :D

Homesick

Yes, I've gotten very very homesick by now.
I mean.. Things would have been OK if i hade any money to move around with, but no. Things have been shit, (even literally, don't ask) and I now have a check I cannot cash. To get a scottish bank account, i will fill in a paper and send it in to the bank. then wait for 2-3 weeks, and hopefully I will be accepted and get an account.

I haven't gotten payed for 8 weeks now, and i have been stuck at this darn castle for weeks.

Still going to the pub 2 or 3 times a weeks tho. We get free drinks from... erm.. friends and.. other guys. lol. We love fridays the most. Then they have t his live band playing and Emma and I are in the band as well nowadays. :D Always gives us the microphones and we'll have to sing with em. Fun fun. Last friday we got home at 3.30 in the morning. The pub is supposed to close at 12.30 or thereabouts but we had stayed longer with the owner and a few other guys. Emma and I was, as usual, the last girls to leave the pub and this time also the last ones to go back to the castle. The band was bigger than evar and i think 11 ppl were playing on their instruments and people started to shake their asses to the music! It was awesome!
The swedish volunteers from Sweden we have here banged and decided not to go with us tho. Too bad for them, cos it really kicked ass.

Went out for the 6th time yesterday, together with 9 swedish bikers from Gavle. It was awesome. We asked them out the night before, and they were not late on telling us they were interested in going to a real local pub with a local band playing classical songs to sing along with.
"This is exactly what I've always dreamed of!" is what one of the guys said. Yeah.. it was great fun and we sang all night. Hard to get out of bed this morning though.

Today the Haggis bus will arrive. Hopefully it will be loaded with young backpackers, waiting to get down to the local pub. Coz we are prepared to join them. Emma is doing my hair right now as i type and yeah.. fun fun.

This is a picture of the place, in which i will live for two months this summer. I am working with the house keeping crew and i suppose there could be both worse and better jobs available.

Nevertheless, it's rather OK here. Sure it's boring to clean up after other people, but i'm starting to get the routines now so it's getting better. You know.. the apathic and mechanical feeling when you just do what you are supposed to do without even thinking.

And the more merrier things with this place is the local pub and the cheap alcohol. yes yes.... think we've been out drinking more than 5 times in less than 2 weeks. Lucky enough, if i turn out to be a total drunkard, i will get normal back in Sweden again with no money and too expensive alcohol, hahaha.

Oh yes.. we have even smuggeled in three guys to the castle after the pub closed one time. Then we got busted by the manager... not good, but GREAT fun! :D

Mina utsikter på arbetsmarknaden ter sig inte bra alls, enligt min samhällsvetenskapsbok. Och visserligen är 25% finskt blod inget att skryta med i invandrarbanor, men det var bara principen jag var ute efter. Att jag statistiskt sett är ute ur leken just nu.

I went to my 22 year old aunt yesterday. We were supposed to party n stuff before i graduate n shit, and she would pay the whole night and so on..
Anyways. when i get there, her.... boyfriend/ex boyfriend or whatever he is... lets just call him fucktard from now on.. he was there

He just got rid off his electronic tagging he got sum month ago. He is so fucking stupid and i knew it from before when my aunt told me about all the shit and he causes and how hurt she gets all the time.
This evening, he thought my aunt didn't have a top that was tight enough to suit her pants O_o
and he got REALLY grumpy over that she wore the top she wanted to wear.. Which of course didn't look bad at all. But he was not satisfied. Tight pants = tight top is a must.
So i asked him if he thought i was ugly as well since i had my tight jeans and my eary top as well
My aunt wondered if he liked the clothes she wore or HER as a person...
Well... they nagged a bit.. and we drank a lot of beer and when i finally got them to start thinking bout leaving home to go to listen to the live band at the club, he didn't want to come with us.

She persuaded him at last to come with us, cos or else we would get to hear the "oh. i didn't wanna join but you two went to have fun alone and left me here" afterwards....
When we got there my aunt was at the front of the stage with me for a lil while, but then left me to jump like a mad man alone to join the boring ass he is.

When the band finished playing.. and we were supoosed to go home.. someone called him and he started to slow down and talk to the person who called and couldn't let it just be. Time was like.. 3am maybe or around that. And the whole day, ppl had been calling him and he could never turn it off and argh. My aunt got annoyed...
Coz when they ask him where he is since he aint at home his answer is "somewhere" with "someone" - not "i am at my girlfriend's".
But anyway.
We got home and she questioned him.
They started nagging.
And the dumb fuck hit her!
In her face!
got so fucking mad!
She got shocked and said "wtf?!?! you hit me you dumb ass!" and she hit him back. And then he hit her again and she tells him to fuck off and he's being a very slow ass with getting all of his things before leaving. And he was so fucking arrogant and argh! Grrrr
We threw him out. Yelling at him like two very angry amazons.
Then i had to try comfort her and hold her cos she was shaking and crying and was very upset.

The thing is, she knows in her brain that he aint worth it. That he aint worth shit. But "in her heart" she is still fond of him in sum way. So when he calls 20 minutes later, SHE ANSWERS! fuck i got annoyed. When we finally got rid of the shit, and finally understood what a man he really was. .. urm.. wasn't..

He wants to talk to her. So she agrees on meeting him down at the door! God i wanted to slap her bad then >_< But i was really, really tired, and she said she would be back soon. She would just listen to what he wanted to say and then go back up to her apartment.......
I fall asleep cos i am so fucking.. ugh.. tired and drunk

suddenly i wake up cos i hear she is very upset again and she's telling him "get off me! wtf get off me i say" and.. things like that.
He is inside the apartment again, in the kitchen together with my aunt. I listen for like.. 3 minutes. And i get enough of his bullsit and disrespect and arrogance.
I shout and i tell him to fuck off, to start respect ppl and to never come here again.
He, from the other room, tells me to "shut the fuck up" which is like.. the thing he says 80% of the times he opens his mouth. "shut the fuck off" haha. twat.

So. Since he explained he had a problem talking to me, i went into the kitchen, where i see them laying on a mattress under a cover.
She had invited him back in. SO wrong done -_-

I ask him what his problem is. And he doesn't want to talk to me, since he's laying there with my aunt and i am not his g/f. So i get furios, lay down on the mattress, and i start to fight him with words. Debating and arguing = <3. Especially since he's so fucked up stupid, and i am so awesomly good and experienced when it comes to debating and stuff. lol.
All i got back was "shut the fuck up". Almost.

What annoys me the most, is that he REALLY can't listen to eitherwhat me or my aunt have got to say. We listen kindly to what he has to say. But no. He dun wanna listen to us and our feelings and opinions.

Then he gets tired of me. lol.
He walks through the room i was sleeping in at the beginning, and walks out to the balcony. He takes a smoke.

I follow. He calls me a fat bitch. I hit him

Well yeah. I get so fucking annoyed. I think we kept arguing til 8 am.
And i got mad cos my aunt never told him to fuck off and leave already. Wven if he was so fucking stupid insulting ME! And our whole family. AND had been hitting her twice.
I mean. Iget violent if sumone's a fuckhead to me or my mates.
He walks inside. I stay at the balcony with my aunt. We talk sum. Then she walks inside and i go to sit down on my/my aunt's bed. I feel rally tired.
They go to bed together again in the kitchen, continuing to whisper/discuss/arguing with each other.

I get sick of him. Don't ever wanna see the scum again, so i take a cover and i go to lay down outside. Hooray for her balcony. With 1 meter wide benches -_-
I slept there from 8am to 11am.

Så var det olidliga väntandet över!
Centerpartiets Ungdomsförbund har idag fått en ny förbundsordförande. Vår käre Segerstabo Magnus Andersson vann voteringen mot Marie Wickberg. Magnus fick 52 röster mot Maries 46 och glädjen och lyckönskningarna går varma i stämmolokalen.

1:a vice ordförande: Marie Wickberg
2:a vice ordförande: Ida Karlsson
3:e vice ordförande: Johan Pettersson

Jag önskar min favorit-Magnus ett stort lycka till och ett stort grattis till posten som förbundsordförande. Jag är alldeles säker på att detta år och flera därefter, kommer bli framgångsrika och roliga år för CUF, med Magnus som ordförande.

Och ett stort tack till vår avgångna ordförande Fredrick Federley, som alltid kommer ha en speciell plats i alla CUF:ares hjärtan!

Right now we're in the conference hall, listening to Eskil Erlandsson, Swedens minister of agriculture. He has been answering our questions and explained how important the Youth Party is and how much we helped last September when we became the 3rd biggest party in Sweden. Eskil is one out of four ministers from the Centre Party. One of the questions was how to make the department of agriculture more sexy, and Eskil said the only way he could think of was to change the name from "agriculture" to something emore appealing.

Half a week has passed since i got chosen to become the vice president of the centre youth in the county Gävleborg. It will hopefully be a very fun year, and I will try, together with the rest of the board, listen to the members and fulfil their ideas and visions.

atleast when it's going good. Started a new human mage character @ Ragnaros the other day. Been playing two nights now, together with another player named Marco.

Well, I've reached lvl 13 now, and it has been quite fun. I can't play too much and too often, but atleast I'm getting somewhere. Usually i play with Marco's new human mage char he made to level with me, but sometimes i get help from his lvl 70 dwarf warrior.

So... It's thursday and I am a bit hangover. I spent yesterday at Haldis place, together with her friends David, Daniel, Magnus and Hani.

We started drinking around 17.00 and gods' dawn we got really wasted, I can tell. Even passed around a spliff before we went downtown to tre bockar, which is a club in Hudik. We arrived around midnight, and had to wait for 20 minutes or so before we could enter - it was bitchfull of ppl out that night, since every beer cost 25 SEK.

We drank more beer and danced before we decided to go home to eat tacopie, toasts and salad.

Blonde bombshell @ Mousquet

Spent last night clubbing with Haldis at Mousquet. We spent the evening at my place, drinking wine and colouring our hair. Right now i am hyper blonde. So.. I guess it's time for Britta to dye her hair as well ;) like we said on NYE. I might get up a pic on here soon, but right now I feel like it's not a great idea. Don't look too good the day after so to day.

Anyway, loads of wine, beer, ppl, old friends, live band (Förspel was playing, and we had called earlier and talked to the lead singer. So we got a song dedicated to us since we're so cool ;D ), guys hitting on us, dancing, ass shaking, pizza and even a guy in just his underpants... showing us his balls. (Yes we looked away. No great sight, I can tell ya) And also some Arabic and Wolof talking. (Wolof is a gambian language).

Yet another kent day. But I think I am going into a small Veronica Maggio period right now. Downloaded her album "Vatten och Bröd" (Water and Bread) and I have been listening to it for two days now. Her classical hits "Havanna Mamma", "Dumpa Mig" and "Nöjd?" are three of ten songs on the album, and I like some more of the songs as well. Veronica has got an awesome voice, that's a fact.

My mother got home today as well, after almost 2 weeks at the hospital. I guess she will be needing a lot of help while she is recovering. Meanwhile, I will also try to get my things back on track. I really doubt it will be easy, but what to do? Guess I'm going back to basics. Time to try start sleep and eat properly, and to go to school and do my duties.

My mom got an aneurysm and cerebral hemorrhage yesterday.

I was dogsitting at her ex husbands place when her mate called me and said i had to go home. 'Cos mom felt bad and they were going to the hospital. My lil bro was out somewhere playing with a mate and her mate didn't feel like this could wait. So I went home and waited for my lil bro to come home, and for his dad to leave work and come to pick him up.

When he had picked him up, moms mate calls and says they're taking her with the ambulance to a "real" hospital in Hudik (next town north) to scan her brain since they didn't know for real what it was that was wrong. Mom's mate comes here and i pack a bag with the book she's reading, some clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste and stuff like that, and we went after the ambulance to the hospital. My grandparents live there, so she dropped me there and went to the hospital to see what would happen.

Some hours later, they call from the hospital and says she's got cerebral hemorrhage and they have to take her by copter to Uppsala University Hospital as soon as possible.

This morning, the doctor called my grandmother and told us she had an aneurysm, and that she had agreed on a surgery or else she would die. We called the nurse at 18:00, but they were still not done with the surgery by then, but when we called at 21:00, she was awake, but a bit groggy. She will probably call us tomorrow when she feels better.

Today I published the basics of my website.
Usually I just spend my time in webdesign class with the tasks I get from my teacher, but sometimes (or maybe it is too often) I take the liberty of doing something else which is more fun. This site is nothing special, but it is enough for me to get intellectually stimulated during extremely boring times. I will also be able to exploit this site as much as I want to, and maybe publish some of my art and poems, etc.
Right now i have just some poor photoshopped work I had to do in class, but i will probably fill it up more with better stuff later.

Vet inte om jag riktigt har återhämtat mig från Islandsresan, men jag måste ju skriva något i bloggen tänkte jag.

Anlände i Keflavik på torsdag eftermiddag tillsammans med de andra svenskarna, ålänningarna och strax efter kom norrmännen med osloflyget. Väntade på planet från Köpenhamn som var en timme försenat med, för finnarna åkte med det. Efter det åkte vi till The Blue Lagoon och badade i ca 2 timmar. Det var jätteskönt med 40 grader i vattnet och -10 grader i luften, champagne i handen och ansiktsmask från naturlig lera i ansiktet. Därefter åkte vi till gästhuset vi bodde i och åt härligt god pizza. Vi hälsades välkomna och sedan fick Ickemedlemmar av styrelsen göra vad de ville, så vi gick till centrum och tog en varsin öl.

Jag delade rum med Ulrika Månsson och Annika Ivarsson, och övriga svenskar var vice ordförande Ida Karlsson och vår käre förbundsordförande och riksdagsledamot Fredrik Federley

Fredag morgon vaknade vi, åt frukost och gick till

University of Iceland. Där lyssnade vi på två kostymnissar som pratade om hur de skulle bli med på top 100 bästa universiteten i världen. Efter det pratade vi om detta och annat med deras student council, och sedan fick vi prata med en exchange student.
Åt på chinarestaurang till lunch och efter det gick vi till islänningarnas högkvarter och pratade lite. Därefter gick vi på stan för lite shopping innan vi gick hem för att göra oss i ordning inför cocktailpartyt på högkvarteret. Special guest var islands hälsominister Siv Friðleifsdóttir, som visade sig vara en extremt trevlig och beundransvärd kvinna.

Klockan 20:00 serverades middag på en trevlig restaurang och efteråt gick vi ut till en studentfest och sedan vidare till Cafe Oliver. Det var bra musik och vi dansade där halva natten innan vi gick hemmåt. Besökte även Islands enda gay bar, kallad Café Cosy. Kom till slut i säng 3.30 inne i Fredrick och Idas rum då jag och mina rumskamrater blivit utelåsta från vårt eget rum (Ja.. jag är lite klumpig och lämnade nyckeln i rummet, varav hyresvärden låste efetr oss när vi gått).

Lördag morgon gick vi till högkvarteret efter frukost och började toppmötet 10.00. Vi satt i delegationsgrupper efter land och skulle analysera fram styrkor, svagheter, möjligheter och hot med den svenska högre utbildningen. Sedan presenterade jag och Ulrika detta för resten, och de andra gjorde samma sak om respektive land. Därefter gick vi till en restaurang vid hamnen där vi åt en utsökt hummersoppa i mysig och pittoresk miljö. När det var avklarat gick vi tillbaka till högkvarteret och arbetade i fyra olika grupper. Jag satt i gruppen som behandlade resolutionerna som vi skrivit och en timme senare öppnade vi mötet och gick igenom alla punkter och resolutioner.
20:00 åt vi midag igen på restaurang och sedan hade vi fest och kulturprogram på högkvarteret.

Varje land skall sätta upp en liten sketch, eller annat roligt och framträda. Sedan utses en vinnare. Åland vann och det var en välförtjänt seger. Sverige bidrog med Eurovision Song Contest vinnare från Sverige och jag kan meddela att Herreys koreografi till Diggilo Diggiley inte är att leka med. Vi hade party till 3.30, då vi gick ut på krogen en snabbis och sedan käkade vi pizza innan vi klev på den tidiga bussen 05:00 för att åka till flygplatsen.
Anlände i Sverige strax efter 12:00 och jag klev på mitt tåg hem 12:50. Detta var i förrgår men kroppen är fortfarande lite sliten och mör och trött.

Preparations for New Years Eve

Got all things to drink for new years eve today. It really looks like it will be a very very loooooooooong night... So lets see: 12 ciders, 4 guinness, 1 bottle of wine, 1 bottle of malibu and 1 bottle of jägermeister.

It was quite heavy to carry all that, but ... yeah. As I always say "Everything goes - but small babies".
Now all we have to do is to await the big night.

Ny riksombudsman för CUF

I dag har CUF Gävleborgs omtyckte och beundrade ombudsman Henrik Björkman fått meddelande från Jonas Naddebo att Henrik är tillåten att tillträda tjänsten som riksombudsman efter nyår. Detta är storslagna nyheter och en enorm framgång för Henrik som med sina blotta 21 år på nacken har lyckats slå igenom med politiken i senare tid. Efter valet blev han som några kanske vet förste ledamot för centerpartiet i fullmäktige för Hofors kommun med hela 21,3% av Centerpartiets röster.

Henriks spontana kommentar om det nya jobbet som väntar är att det är mycket spännande. Denna tanke blandas dock med förvivlan över att han nu blir tvungen att sälja sin pärla till bil, och flytta till en lägenhet i Stockholm - om han lyckas hitta någon. Dock lovar han en ordentlig inflyttningsfest och CUF Gävleborg blir förstås VIP gästerna på partyt.

CUF Gävleborg är jätteglada för Henriks skull och har hejat på honom ända sedan det var tillåtet att söka jobbet. Vi hoppas han kommer få det trevligt med alla andra som skall jobba på RO och att han fortsätter att sköta sig lika bra där som han gjort för oss i distriktet.

Cosyness at the expedition

Mia and I went to E-center around 12.00 to buy ingredients, porridge, mulled wine, christmas must and gingerbread dough and other stuff we needed to bake some nice biscuits and buns and toffee. After that we met up with Emma, Jonas and Karro at our expidition and started to make the dough for the Lucia buns. While waiting for the dough to rise, we started with the gingerbread biscuits. It took ages and we made A LOT of biscuits.

Then we made the buns.

And when we finished with it all, had eaten porridge and drinking must and wine, we were so tired and full that we decided not to make any toffee We have also been watching a classical tv calendar called Mysteriet på Greveholm (The mystery at Greveholm)
Now I'm finally home again and it's 21:47. Hahaha. But it has been a good day

Wonderful, OH so wonderful

Oh. So I was at the 2nd performance the 12th december 2006 in Globen, Stockholm and I am SO delighted!
I am so happy I am obsessed by this band of all bands out there. I hated the people who sat down most of the concert and the ones who couldn't sing along to all their song. Fucking noobs. but I had a great time, a sore throat. a bad knee and a really happy face when the concert was over.

Youtube is great and the people who were there, and got their crappy video cameras in, get creds from me, because now i can look and think back to the pleasureable two hours i got together with a full globen arena and one of the greatest bands in the world.

Pre band this time was Mike Watt and the Missing men. Liked some of the songs actually. Might check them up closer.

I dag har jag även vart iväg med Mia för att handla mat till 15 personer inför helgens kurs. Efter dryga en till två timmar på E center har vi lastat in den sista kassen i bagageluckan på den hyrbilen Mia vunnit på lotteri över helgen.

Kråglandes och med lite om och men tar vi oss framåt med gott mod och hopp i sinnet.

Väl vid vändplanen utanför mitt radhus kliver jag ur och stanken av något bränt slår oss genast. Men varför luktar det bränt och framför allt VAD är bränt?

Mia blickar omkring sig och ser att hon inte lagt ur handbromsen riktigt ordentligt. Attans tänker hon och jag garvar samtidigt som jag går in med en matkasse fylld med saker som skall in i frysboxen.

Efter ett tag har Mia kommit hem och hon skriver till mig på MSN.

Maria säger:

So, Rose had a little wipe out and we all had to restart our avatars and re-level and that really sucked. Now i have passed my old record, lvl 52, and i am now at lvl 59. Andreas who is also playing is at lvl 50. Means i pwn him good ;)

Ordförandekonferans och ledarskap

I helgen har jag vart på ordförandekonferans på Skärsögården i Stockholm. En härlig kvinna från SV besökte oss och delade med sig av sina kunskaper om personlighetstyper och ledarskap i 3,5 timmar. Det var oerhört roligt!

Bland annat blev vi kategoriserade in i fyra olika personlighetstyper, varav jag blev en pådrivare.

En pådrivare är:
